A 16-year-old boy was arrested in connection with a deadly shooting near the Santa Monica Pier. On July 20, Santa Monica police were called to a shooting at a parking lot on the pier's north side at 1550 Pacific Coast Highway around 12:30 a.m. Police found the male victim with multiple gunshot wounds.
A 14-year-old boy was also found with a gunshot wound and "showed no signs of life" when officers arrived, police said. According to police, when officers arrived, they located the injured man, and he was taken to the hospital for treatment.
