17 agendas territoriales: el modelo de Arévalo para saldar la deuda histórica del Estado guatemalteco con los pueblos indígenas

Guatemalan President Bernardo Arévalo has signed 17 territorial development agendas with indigenous peoples, scheduled to be implemented between 2025 and 2026. The initiative aims to transform historical demands into verifiable commitments focused on key areas such as health, education, and infrastructure.

The program is designed to address and begin settling the historical debt owed by the Guatemalan state to its indigenous communities, providing a structured framework for state accountability and development in these regions.
