Authorities are investigating two unrelated deaths that happened in Lawrence on Thursday, according to the Essex County District Attorney’s Office. Early Thursday morning, Massachusetts State Police detectives from the district attorney’s office responded to a fatal shooting on Bay State Road, prosecutors said. Authorities have not publicly identified the victim, but prosecutors said he was a 44-year-old man.
