28-tonne benzene tanker leaks in Mumbai's Chembur; 500m area cordoned off, traffic diverted

A benzene leak occurred from a tanker near Mysore Colony on Mahul Road. Authorities cordoned off a 500-meter area as a precautionary measure following the incident. Benzene was successfully decanted into another tanker and both were moved to BPCL refinery.

The affected area remains cordoned off while traffic diversions are in place. No injuries have been reported from this chemical leak incident.
