A Pembroke Pines woman is facing drunken driving and child neglect charges after police said an officer spotted her 5-year-old daughter hanging out her vehicle’s window as she drove on a major road on Sunday evening.Authorities said a Pembroke Pines police officer was waiting at a red light at Sheridan Street and Flamingo Road just after 10:30 p.m. when he spotted the young girl “standing on the rear set exposing her upper body outside the right rear window” of a Lexus driven by her mother, Isabella Fernanda Saenz.Police said Saenz, 26, crossed over a solid white line as the light turned green ― and her daughter was still hanging out of the window. An arrest report states that the officer pulled Saenz over. The report states she was “unaware” her daughter was unbelted and hanging out of the window.Police said Saenz smelled of alcohol and had “glossy” eyes.
They said she later failed field sobriety testing and a breathalyzer test revealed a blood alcohol content of more than 0.12%, over the legal limit of 0.08%.According to the report, Saenz told officers that she was coming back from “a kid’s birthday party in Miramar,” where she had a margarita.After her arrest, she was booked into jail and given an $8,000 bond by a judge on Monday. She no longer appeared in Broward jail records as of Tuesday.Records show Saenz has received multiple traffic tickets in Broward County dating back to 2023, some of which were later dismissed. .l10-neighborhood, .l10-neighborhood * { box-sizing: border-box; } .l10-neighborhood{ --blue-dark:#0d2c73; --blue:#1f57c4; --blue-light:#3370e6; --gray-bg:#f2f3f5; --gray-border:#d6d8dc; --text-dark:#1a1a1a; --white:#ffffff; font-family:system-ui,-apple-system,"Segoe UI",Roboto,Arial,sans-serif; max-width:860px; margin:1.5rem auto; border-radius:10px; overflow:hidden; border:1px solid var(--gray-border); background:var(--gray-bg); box-shadow:0 4px 14px rgba(0,0,0,.12); text-align:center; } .l10-head{ background:linear-gradient(90deg,var(--blue-dark),var(--blue)); color:var(--white); padding:12px 16px; font-weight:800; text-transform:uppercase; font-size:1rem; letter-spacing:.3px; display:flex; justify-content:center; align-items:center; gap:8px; } .l10-body{ max-width:740px; margin:0 auto; padding:0 16px 18px; } .l10-sub{ margin:12px 0 10px; font-size:.95rem; color:var(--text-dark); font-weight:500; text-align:center; } .l10-grid{ display:…
