6 years after NDA exit, Punjab's SAD backs delimitation push

Six years after exiting the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), Punjab's Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), led by president Sukhbir Singh Badal, has announced its backing for the upcoming delimitation push and the rollout of the women's reservation law.

The development signals the potential revival of the Constitution amendment bill by the government, which is also seeking support from other regional parties, including the DMK and the NCP(SP). The proposed legislation aims to increase the strength of the Lok Sabha by fifty percent.
