60 days after the earthquakes in Venezuela

Sixty days after a double earthquake struck Venezuela, ongoing rescue and relief efforts continue in the affected disaster zones. Volunteer rescuer Domingo Pacheco, who arrived on the scene immediately following the disaster, remains actively engaged in the prolonged recovery work.

The initial disaster occurred on June 24, when two major earthquakes measuring magnitudes 7.2 and 7.5 hit the country with a brief interval of 39 seconds between the tremors.
