60 days after the earthquakes in Venezuela

Sixty days after a double earthquake struck Venezuela, recovery and relief efforts continue in the disaster zone. Volunteer rescuer Domingo Pacheco, who arrived on the scene on the first day, remains active as the work is far from finished.

The disaster was caused by two consecutive earthquakes of magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 that hit the country on June 24, occurring with a 39-second interval between each tremor.
