60 days after the earthquakes in Venezuela

Sixty days after a double earthquake struck Venezuela, ongoing recovery and relief efforts continue in the affected disaster zone. Volunteer rescuer Domingo Pacheco, who arrived on the scene on the first day, remains actively engaged in the prolonged humanitarian response.

The disaster began on June 24, when two major earthquakes measuring magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 hit the country with an interval of just 39 seconds between them. The sustained presence of volunteers two months later underscores the long-term challenges and extensive recovery work required following the seismic event.
