6,000 students without school space according to Minerd

The Dominican Republic's Ministry of Education (Minerd) announced on Saturday that approximately 6,000 students across the country are currently awaiting school placement. This figure serves as a correction to a statement released earlier the same day, which had initially estimated the number of students without school space at 9,000.

The ministry issued the clarification to update the public on the status of student enrollment. The adjustment reflects a reduction of 3,000 from the previously reported total, though the underlying issue of securing adequate educational facilities for these students remains a priority for the ministry.
