6,000 students without school space according to Minerd

The Dominican Republic's Ministry of Education (Minerd) announced on Saturday that approximately 6,000 students across the country are currently awaiting placement in school facilities. This figure serves as a correction to an earlier report released by the ministry the same morning, which had initially estimated the number of unplaced students at 9,000.

The ministry issued the clarification to update the public on the status of student enrollment. The adjustment reflects the ongoing efforts by educational authorities to manage school capacity and ensure that all students are assigned to a learning environment.
