8 sailors in USS Lincoln group attempted suicide on extended deployment , Navy leader says

During an extended deployment supporting the Iran war, eight sailors assigned to the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier strike group attempted suicide. The deployment involved a record-setting, uninterrupted period of time at sea.

The incidents were disclosed this week by the Navy’s top civilian leader.
