€800,000 Red Coral Seized Off Skopelos: Greek Authorities Bust Italian-Linked Smuggling Ring

Greek authorities have seized approximately €800,000 worth of protected Mediterranean red coral in an operation off the island of Skopelos. The interception targeted a leisure yacht that was chartered by Italian nationals.

The seizure was carried out as part of a joint operation conducted by the financial crime unit (DEOS) of Greece's Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE), dismantling a suspected smuggling ring with links to Italy.
