Tactical drones and armored vehicles in the Zócalo: What you'll see for the first time at the September 16th Military Parade

On September 16, 2026, over 15,000 members of the Mexican Armed Forces will participate in the Civic-Military Parade in Mexico City to commemorate the 216th anniversary of the start of the Mexican Independence. The parade route will depart from the Zócalo, marking a significant national celebration of the country's sovereignty.

This year's event features a notable technological debut, as the Mexican Army and Air Force will showcase 45 tactical drones and armored vehicles manufactured entirely within Mexico. This inclusion represents the first time these domestically produced assets have been presented during the historic parade.
