Data from Spain indicates a significant divergence in laryngeal cancer mortality trends along gender lines. Among men, the mortality rate has plummeted by over 60 percent, shifting from 12.10 down to 4.76 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants.

Conversely, the trend among women presents a mixed picture. While mortality rates have decreased among younger females, the data shows an increase in deaths among women aged 55 and older.
