A year on, Rs 15 lakh for kin of 4 killed in Leh firing

Ladakh’s Lieutenant Governor has announced compensation for four protesters who were killed during demonstrations in Leh last September. The financial aid package includes Rs 15 lakh for the families of the deceased, as well as ex gratia payments of Rs 3 lakh for major injuries and Rs 1 lakh for minor injuries sustained during the events.
