Abascal, "outraged" by the Government's attitude towards warnings of a new attempt to cross into Ceuta: "The border is open"

Santiago Abascal, leader of the political party Vox, has publicly criticized the Spanish government regarding border security in Ceuta and its relationship with the monarchy. Abascal expressed indignation over the government's response to social media reports of a potential mass border crossing attempt scheduled for the upcoming election day. He characterized the current state of the border as open and failing to prevent unauthorized entries.

Additionally, Abascal accused Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez of deliberately obstructing and delaying a planned visit by the King to Ceuta. According to Abascal, these actions are intended to weaken the Spanish head of state, alleging that the Prime Minister harbors personal ambitions to occupy the role of monarch himself.
