In response to the crisis, local authorities have requested assistance from the Spanish state.

Meanwhile, the Moroccan government has attributed the mass entries to criminal organizations and networks, while describing its migration collaboration with Spain as exemplary. The situation has triggered sharp political reactions within Spain, notably from the Vox party.

Santiago Abascal, leader of Vox, and Juan Sergio Redondo, the party's spokesman in the Ceuta Assembly, both denounced the arrival as an "invasion." They blamed Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez for the crisis, with Redondo specifically accusing Morocco of invading Spain and demanding the prime minister's resignation.
