Abbott Labs to pay nearly $385M in case over bacterial contamination at plant

Abbott Laboratories has agreed to pay nearly $385 million to resolve a legal case stemming from a bacterial contamination at one of its manufacturing facilities in Michigan.

The contamination involved Cronobacter bacteria, which originated at the company's plant and led to the legal proceedings and subsequent financial settlement.
