Abby Choi’s partner tells court her ex-father-in-law helped resolve his HK$5m debt

In a Hong Kong court, Chris Tam Fong-chun, the partner of the late socialite Abby Choi Tin-fung, testified regarding his financial history with Choi's former father-in-law. Tam acknowledged that the man had assisted in resolving a HK$5 million gambling debt.

Tam clarified his stance on the repayment of these funds, stating he did not believe he was under any obligation to settle the debt. He explained that his refusal was based on the belief that the company to which the money was owed was on the verge of collapse.
