President Abelardo de la Espriella has officially committed his administration to the completion of the Bogotá Metro Line 1, designating the project as a primary objective. During a meeting with Mayor Carlos Fernando Galán, the president emphasized the necessity of the infrastructure project and proposed that planning for a fourth metro line should begin immediately.

Simultaneously, the administration is consolidating its legislative influence. The Partido de la U has formally declared itself a party of government, providing the president with increased support within both the Senate and the House of Representatives to advance his executive agenda.
