A 14-year-old boy was shot dead after being mistaken for his older brother: two suspects arrested with a gun and drugs

A 14-year-old adolescent was shot and killed inside his home in La Victoria by suspected members of a criminal gang who arrived at the property searching for his older brother, whom the victim was mistaken for. Following the investigation into the incident, authorities captured two suspects in possession of a weapon and drugs.

In a separate and distinct violent episode occurring in La Plata, an off-duty City Police officer was arrested following a family argument that escalated into a shooting at a residence located on 62nd Street between 115th and 116th avenues in the El Mon neighborhood. The altercation resulted in gunshot injuries to both the officer's romantic partner and his father-in-law.
