The study of 200 human remains, the basis of a documentary about the history of Numantia

More than 200 human remains from the Numancia archaeological site, currently preserved in the Museo Numantino in Soria, are set to undergo a multidisciplinary scientific investigation. The research will combine genetic, anthropological, chronological, and isotopic analyses to obtain new information about the ancient inhabitants and re-examine historical questions regarding the site.

This scientific project forms the basis of an upcoming documentary about the history of Numancia. By applying modern laboratory techniques to the preserved remains, researchers aim to uncover detailed data concerning the population and daily life associated with the historical settlement.
