Afghan female cyclist wins silver at Asian Games after disguising herself as a man to train

Fariba Hashimi, a female cyclist from Afghanistan, won a silver medal in the women's cycling road race at the Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan.

While winning the medal was described as the easy part, Hashimi faced nearly impossible conditions trying to train in her home country. To safely practice her sport, she had to disguise herself by dressing as a man in a society where women face severe restrictions.
