UN adopts major map reform to show true scale of continents

The United Nations General Assembly voted on Friday to adopt a major map reform aimed at providing a more accurate representation of continental landmasses and world geography. The resolution was spearheaded by several African nations.

The newly adopted map adjusts the visual scale of continents, notably making Africa appear larger while reducing the apparent size of North America and Europe. The resolution received overwhelming support, passing with 164 votes in favor from member states.
