Air Canada says fuel costs spiked 49% from last year, with travel demand up

Air Canada reported a significant increase in its aircraft fuel costs, which spiked by 49 per cent compared to the same period a year prior. Despite the rising expenses, the airline experienced a boost in overall revenue driven by increased demand for air travel.

In addition to its financial performance updates, Air Canada announced plans to sell a 25 per cent stake in its Aeroplan loyalty program.
