Metro Vancouver, Fraser Valley under air quality advisory due to wildfire smoke

Air quality advisories have been issued across multiple regions due to wildfire smoke originating in the Pacific Northwest. In Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, air quality has reached high-risk levels, with some areas recording rankings of nine and 10 plus on the air quality index.

Simultaneously, the San Francisco Bay Area has extended an air quality advisory through Thursday. Officials expect smoke plumes to drift into the region over a 48-hour period, potentially leading to hazy skies, the smell of smoke, and unhealthy air quality conditions for residents.
