NewzAjax played to a 1-1 draw against NEC at home on Saturday, a result that has led the club to distance itself from current title contention. The match began with celebratory festivities, including a fireworks display marking the fiftieth anniversary of the F-side supporters group.
Following the draw, Ajax captain Youri Baas expressed frustration regarding the team's performance, specifically citing the recurring issue of dropping points unnecessarily at home. The result leaves the team in a position where they can no longer afford further slip-ups in their campaign.
