At least 1,400 people arrived in Djibouti from Yemen within a 24-hour period, according to an announcement by Djibouti's Minister of Economy and Finance, Ilyas Moussa Dawale. The influx of displaced individuals is a direct result of intensified military combat occurring in the Bab al-Mandeb Strait.
