Alex Nylander joins Flames after limited Maple Leafs opportunities in NHL

Alex Nylander is out of the Toronto Maple Leafs organization after two seasons and will join the Calgary Flames’ training camp on a pro tryout. The 28-year-old forward enjoyed a good campaign with the Toronto Marlies, helping to capture the Calder Cup. The NHL opportunity could be another way for Nylander to reach an NHL roster spot.
