Alias Menor, an alleged member of the Dagoberto Ramos Structure of the FARC, was captured in northern Cauca

On August 7, 2026, the Colombian National Army's 29th Brigade captured an individual known as 'Alias Menor' in Miranda, Cauca. The detainee is identified as a suspected member of the Dagoberto Ramos structure, a dissident group of the FARC. The operation was confirmed by the Third Division of the Army.

In a separate security development, 18 members of the Coordinadora Nacional Ejército Bolivariano surrendered to the military in a rural area of Tumaco, Nariño. This operation also resulted in the recovery of two minors who had been associated with the illegal armed group.
