Alleged 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed to go on trial in 2028

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the alleged mastermind of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, is scheduled to go on trial in June 2028. The announcement was made on a Thursday by an official.

The proceedings will take place before a US military court. Mohammed is currently incarcerated at the US military facility located in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
