I’ll start out by reminding you that we as a nation have faced many serious health issues. A neighbor came down with it; she was quarantined. Recently, we faced COVID-19 and the need to quarantine and to wear face masks.
The difference now is that certain people are making a political issue out of it. Amy Acton applied science and known methods to prevent the spread of this debilitating virus. It was largely the same everywhere, except for one person, our then-president, Donald Trump.
One of the remedies he floated was to wonder if people might just drink bleach.
