Former African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship aspirants in Katsina State, Inuwa and Daura, have officially departed the party following disputes regarding the internal candidate-selection process. The departures signal the unraveling of the ADC coalition in the region as both figures prepare for the 2027 election cycle.

While both politicians cited identical grievances with the party's leadership, they have pursued divergent political trajectories. Inuwa has returned to the All Progressives Congress (APC), whereas Daura has transitioned to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
