Antonelli wins in the Madring debut; Alonso finished seventeenth and Sainz retired

Italian Formula One driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli, competing for the Mercedes team and leading the championship, won the Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday, September 12. The event marked the fourteenth race of the Formula One World Championship and the first-ever race held at the Madring, a newly designed semi-urban circuit located at IFEMA in Madrid.

While Antonelli secured victory to reinforce his championship standing, the race proved difficult for Spanish competitors. Fernando Alonso finished in seventeenth position, while Carlos Sainz was forced to retire from the event.
