Apostolos Christou Crowned European Backstroke Champion Again

Greek swimmer Apostolos Christou has successfully defended his title to be crowned the European 100m backstroke champion in Paris.

The victory comes just two days after the 30-year-old athlete narrowly missed out on a medal in the 50m backstroke event.

Christou channeled the disappointment of his earlier near-miss into motivation, allowing him to reclaim the continental 100m backstroke title he first won two years prior.
