Aracena wins gold in men's kata and the Dominican Republic achieves a double victory

Dominican karate athlete Larry Aracena won the gold medal in the male kata event at the regional Games on Wednesday in Santo Domingo, defeating Guatemalan competitor Fernando Calderón by a 3-2 margin.

This victory marks Aracena's first-ever gold medal in the Central American and Caribbean Games. The triumph also contributed to a double-gold achievement for the Dominican Republic in the karate competition.
