Aramco stops crude supplies to India; replacement barrels costlier as oil tops $100

Saudi Aramco has halted crude oil supplies to India after a pipeline was allegedly targeted and shut down late last week. The stoppage forces Indian importers to seek replacement barrels at higher costs, coinciding with global oil prices surpassing $100 per barrel.

The damaged pipeline had served as Saudi Arabia's primary alternative route for transporting crude following disruptions at the critical maritime chokepoint of the Strait of Hormuz.
