Argentina planea iniciar en enero construcción de base naval en el extremo sur del país

The government of Argentina plans to begin construction of a naval military base in the extreme south of the country in January. The announcement was reported in Buenos Aires on September 12.

The new facility is set to be located near the Falkland Islands, which are administered by the United Kingdom. Argentina continues to claim sovereignty over the islands.
