Argentine Senate passes property bill after dropping two key chapters

The Argentine Senate approved the Inviolability of Private Property bill in the early hours of Friday morning. The legislation, which was championed by Deregulation Minister Federico Sturzenegger, passed with a vote of 37 to 33.

To secure the necessary support for the bill, the governing bloc removed two specific chapters that had faced significant opposition. Following this approval by the Senate, the modified text of the legislation has been sent to the Chamber of Deputies for further consideration.
