Asfura changes the security strategy: terrorists, soldiers on the streets and maximum security prisons

The Honduran National Defense and Security Council (CNDS) has initiated a shift in national security policy by officially designating three criminal organizations as terrorist groups. This policy change includes the deployment of increased military and police forces to high-risk areas across the country.

In addition to the new terrorist designations and enhanced security presence, the government plans to implement the use of maximum-security prisons as part of this new strategic framework. These measures represent a significant transition in the administration's approach to addressing organized crime and public safety in Honduras.
