This is Uber and Wayve's first robotaxis service in London: small fleet and drivers present

London has become the first city in the United Kingdom to launch a commercial autonomous taxi service, following a partnership between Uber and the British artificial intelligence technology company Wayve.

The newly introduced service features a small fleet of vehicles integrated directly into the Uber application. Despite the deployment of autonomous technology, safety drivers remain present inside the vehicles during operation.
