The Ministry of Culture in Peru, acting through the Decentralized Directorate of Culture (DDC) of Puno, has conducted a technical supervision at the Marka Marka archaeological site. Located in the district of Usicayos within the province of Carabaya, the site is the focus of ongoing investigations into daily life, production systems, and trade dynamics during the period of Inca rule.

This archaeological intervention aims to better understand the historical and economic organization of the region under the Inca dominion. Research at Marka Marka provides critical insights into how the local society functioned, produced goods, and engaged in commerce during this era of Andean history.
