Saudi Arabia has confirmed that preparations for next January's Asian Cup are proceeding on schedule, despite ongoing military attacks by Houthi rebels based in Yemen.
While the regional soccer tournament remains unaffected by the security situation, the broader impact of the Houthi attacks has disrupted other sporting events in the kingdom. Notably, the Asian Tour has announced the postponement of the Saudi Invitational golf tournament in response to the security concerns.
