The Indian karate contingent has departed for the Asian Games without any coaches, as multiple appeals from reigning Asian champion Alisha Choudhary for the accreditation of her coach, Vikas Panchal, were ignored by sports authorities and Indian Olympic Association (IOA) officials.

Simultaneously, equestrian riders from the delegation have faced administrative hurdles, becoming trapped in an accreditation maze ahead of the continental multi-sport event.
