Asking Eric: My 80-year-old doctor friend wants to do my cataract surgery, but I’m worried

Dear Eric: I am in my late 70s and need cataract surgery. One of my best friends is my ophthalmologist. He operated on my left eye some 10 years ago and did a great job.

Now, I worry that at nearing 80 his hands might not be that steady.
