Astros and GM Dana Brown mutually agree to part ways

On Monday, the Houston Astros and general manager Dana Brown mutually agreed to part ways, as announced by the team. The departure was announced while the team was tied for first place in its division, following a skid.

At the time of the announcement, Brown's contract was set to expire at the end of the season. Following the move, senior adviser Jeff Bagwell and assistant general managers Charles Cook and Ga [sic] are positioned within the leadership structure.
