Over 380 missing, including tourists, after flash flood on Nepal-Tibet border kills at least 19

Flash floods triggered by heavy monsoon rains have struck the Nepal-Tibet border region, resulting in at least eight to 17 confirmed deaths. The disaster, centered in the Rasuwa district north of Kathmandu, has caused significant destruction, with reports indicating that villages may have been swept away and that the event has resulted in major casualties on the Tibetan side of the border.

This incident occurs during the monsoon season, which lasts from June to September and frequently causes deadly flooding and landslides throughout South Asia. Authorities are currently assessing the scale of the damage as search and rescue efforts continue in the affected border areas.
