At least 23 dead in Thailand floods, Bangkok airport in chaos

Authorities in Thailand reported on Tuesday that the death toll from ongoing heavy rains and severe flooding has risen to at least 23 people. The disaster has severely impacted the capital, Bangkok, where approximately 320 millimeters of rain swamped the city and caused operational chaos at the main airport.

Despite waters receding from hard-hit areas in the capital, residents continue to face severe hardships, including wading through floodwaters to gather food and essential supplies at locations such as the Rom Klao Community Housing in the Lat Krabang district. In response to the crisis, the Thai government has approved a multi-million-dollar aid package to address the widespread devastation.
