August flood death toll rises to 1386, with 5130 still missing

Authorities have recovered 1,386 bodies across eight districts following the August 26 Bhotekoshi floods, while 5,130 individuals remain missing.

Of the total recovered fatalities, only 104 bodies have been successfully identified and handed over to their families for final rites.
